Jielde lamps are recognized to be iconic pieces of industrial French art. Initially designed in 1953 by Jean Louis Domecq, the ubiquitous "indestructable" work lamp is hand-made in Lyon, France, maintaining the same design since its incarnation. With the characteristic 3-joint system, this desk-sized Signal variant of the lamp can be fully adjusted with ease to suit a dynamic work space. The hood may be swiveled 360°, providing flexible angled lighting. Made from steel and brass, Jielde lamps are custom painted with a gloss finish in a range of colors, and stamped with a unique serial number. On/Off switch is located at the base of the lamp. Accepts a 40 watt bulb. Base measures 16cm across. Hood measures 13cm across. Each articulated arm is 30cm long.
