Dear Chapin Community,

Welcome to our Virtual Chapin Book Fair!
A beloved Chapin tradition, the Book Fair celebrates our collective love of reading, introduces us to new authors, and raises important funds for the Parents' Association. With this year’s theme, Illuminate: Our Collective Light, we hope to provide additional cheer and brightness to a time that continues to present unique challenges.
Our virtual event will include many treats, such as 10 Virtual Author Visits, our popular raffle with a range of prizes, and a broad array of books — encompassing a variety of genres, interests, and reading levels —that complements our “Illuminate” theme.
I know you’ll enjoy exploring the wonderful selection, but if you need some suggestions, you’ll find some of my favorites here. You will be able to shop our Virtual Book Fair from Tuesday, November 9 to Friday, November 19.
I’m also pleased to share that Chapin is once again partnering with the wonderful Project Cicero, which runs an annual book drive to collect new or gently used books for distribution to underserved public schools.  We hope all who are able will donate a book to this excellent cause.
At Chapin, we strive to instill a love of reading in all students knowing it will both broaden their perspectives and bring them great joy.  As Ralph Waldo Emerson so aptly noted, “One idea lights a thousand candles.”  We hope that you will join us in our mission and for this treasured event.
