When Kakimori's founders set up their shop in Tokyo, they had one concept in mind: to re-evaluate and re-affirm the importance of writing. Each notebook is bound by hand using naturally dyed linen cloth covers and smooth Mitsubishi fine-milled bank paper. With it's carefully considered design and attention to detail, this notebook reminds us that pen and paper will always be an important part of how we express our thoughts and creativity. 120 blank pages with printed top margin. Measures 5.8" x 8.3".
Staff review: "This is the Mary Poppins of notebooks: 'Practically perfect in every way.' The Kakimori satisfies all of my drawing, journaling, and writings needs; from the easily portable yet spacious A5 size, to the flexible linen-bound cover and the delicate placeholder string, this notebook really has it all. And that’s without even looking inside. The Mitsubishi paper is smooth, perfect for pencil sketching, and ballpoints, rollers, and felt-tips positively glide over its surface. The pages are thick enough to stand up to my Copic Markers and Sai Watercolor Brush Pens with little to no bleed, so much so that I’ve all but abandoned traditional sketch books in favor of this journal. Needless to say, the Kakimori is my notebook of choice for every occasion and I carry it with me everywhere. It’s lightweight, yet very durable—perfect for the on-the-go lifestyle of a New Yorker." --chosen by Kathleen
